A grassroots, voluntary group and professional network
of Filipino/a/x-Canadian in social services

The Filipino/a/x Social Workers Social Service Workers and Community Workers Network (shorthand: FilCan Social and Community Workers Network; FCSCWN) was established in 2017 coinciding with the annual conference for Canadian Association for Social Work Education (CASWE-ACFTS) in Toronto. Simultaneously national in orientation and grounded in diverse local contexts, we leverage existing relational, regional and professional networks to bring practitioners together to discuss emerging issues impacting the Filipino/a/x community and share practice models and intervention strategies. This website project will showcase the innovative practical, empirical, and creative contributions of Filipino/a/xs’ in Canadian social work education, social services, community development, and advocacy.
